very little boost, need help please...

Long story short, I was trying to keep up with my friends silvia with around 390 hp. I have a stock blacktop with a few mods..boost controler, fuelpump, ect. I increased my boost to about 9 -10 lbs, it was working fine and little by little i was getting hardly any boost. now, if i rev the engine, or let off the gas when driving, I get a woossh sound coming from the intake air filter...sorta sounds like a super sequential blow off valve coming from my intake...which is coming from the turbo. when driving, im only getting about 1-2.5 lbs of boost. I dont have leaks, and the turbo spools up freely, i disconnected one of the pipes and it blows alot of air when given gas, but when i reconnect the pipe and everything else is tightly secured... I rev it, almost nothing comes out of the BOV, and it make that noise from the air filter. now it runs like a N/A car with a bit of boost.... any help?

Maybe something's wrong with your boost controller,What kind is it.

that noise from the air filter is compressor surge and its not good, ur BOV is not opening. check the vacume to the BOV and if its adjustable try loosening it up a bit. as far as the boost creep i would check all the vacume lines first the the controller.

.....I will do that, i will check the BOV and all the vacum lines. The boost controller is a Greddy Profspec II. I will also lossen up the BOV. thank you.

....damn vacume. all it was is a vacume cap had fallen off...i feel like such an idiot. thanks for your help.

lol i'm glad you found it i had the exact same problem with mine... really throughs you for a loop at first
