Couldn't find this discussed before.

My 2007 M35x doesn't have a good place for a cellphone... Seriously, where do you guys put yours when driving? For easy access I mean. Not texting and driving of course, but if you have to transfer to headset, for example. Or if you need to dial from the phone instead of BT? My wife's TL has a couple of good spots for it.
I have to either throw it on the passenger seat, or stick in under the door handle, or just put it in the cup holder, which is probably the most logical place in the M.

Door handle or cupholder. Back when I had a smaller phone, it fit perfectly in the coin holder.

I sometimes flip open the cigarette lighter door and place it there otherwise the cupholder.

Door handle (any current smart phone like iPhone or HTC EVO fits nicely) or cup holder.

blackberry fits nicely in the slot in front of the cupholder...perfect fit actually...whenever I'm in a rental or my wife's car (QX56), I can never find a good spot for it...

Cup holder or cigerette bin (whatever it is called)

On a side note, has anyone else experienced this? It appears that when my phone's bluetooth is active or turned on if my phone is touching my keyfob in my pocket, the keyfob doesn't work. Initially I thought my battery was dying so I replaced it but still saw the same effect. By chance I removed my phone from my pocket and then I was able to open the doors and start the car. Samsung Galaxy Nexus by the way.

Weird

In the '08 M35S there is a slot in front of cup holder that's fits the iPhone perfectly. I also lay the phone on the lid for the ashtray which works well because I don't smoke. Good luck and be careful.

Now that two people have posted about a "slot" in front of the cup holder... Is that specific to any model or year? I don't have any slots there.

You have the X. The X and Premium option groups no not have the "slot". The non-X and non-Premium have both cooled/heated seat switches on the right side of the area in front of the cupholders, and a slot where the "snow" switch (on an X) and the rear control override and rear visor switches are (on a Premium).
