Damn, that is some messed up stuff. I think I will drive the speed limit on the way home.

The images don't make me sick, but they hit me on more of an emotional level. Thinking that someone's life ended in such a horrific way. People have families and to think that these people died in such a horrific way is what gets to me. What a shame and a waste.

I have seen the partial birth abortion pic too and that got me sick and it got me pissed and it made sad. That is wrong and I commend our lawmakers for banning partial birth abortion. I just hope it stands.

I think that tv and movies have desencitized me to graffic violent picutes. There is so much violence on television and in the movies that it is nothing that really makes me think twice when seeing something like that. The one thing that really gets to me is violence against children, including partial birth abortion.

My biggest concern when I had my motorcycle was not the concern of me being an idiot, but of everyone else on the road. I trusted no-one on four wheels. Motorcycles are too hard to see and they have no protection. At least cars have sides to absorb impact and new cars have airbags and such. Much safer than a motorcycle.

it's not so much the image that will get you, it's the ambiance of the moment, especially the smell of death that will get you every time. i know very few people that can withold their gag reflex when standing near a dead body.

honestly this stuff doesn't bother me much either, as i've witnessed 2 suicides at my place of work. both young boys in their teens, about a year apart jumped off the 3rd floor here in the mall and smacked the concrete and tile floor below. on both separate occasions i heard the hit and saw them immediately after the landing. i guess i'm just desensitized from watching gory movies and such. when i saw these kids commit suicide it was like watcing a bad TV show:(

Fiz, I'm director of marketing for Rounder Records in Cambridge, but during my college days I worked for AMR. We serviced Brockton and Roxbury at a time when murder rates were at an all time high in the area.

Two years earlier, I had returned from the GULF war so I figured I I had a stomach for the stuff. Occassionally we were called up because of drug OD's but once we responded to the scene of a gruesome homicide. An 11 year-old girl was at the wrong time at the wrong place - gang members gunned down rivals during a driveby. Struck by a 12gauge, the portion of her head above her mandible exploded on impact. She was also hit by three .357 caliber rounds and her entrails were spilled across the sidewalk. I'm trembling just typing this...

I didn't look at the pics...

I used to be a MAC-team worker (Mobile Acute Crisis) here in the Valley - When we weren't responding to psychiatric emergencies or clearing a scene for P.D. (who weren't trained to deal with druggies and the mentaly ill at the time), we would be first response sometimes on accidents.

A motorcyclist struck a car going upwards of 40 mph on a residential street - He was launched over a six-foot block wall and survived - pounded on the sliding-glass door and asked the homeowners to call an ambulance - then passed out.

However, he didn't QUITE clear the block wall cleanly - I had to retrieve his arm and deliver it to the hospital with him.

I'm glad it was still in the jacket sleeve or I'd have hurled.

p.s. I concur 100% with rydwhite's post... Be safe out there guys.

I dont think they felt anything, by the extent of injury. But I do feel for their family.

if you guys have seen the pics of the VW accident, the silver gti or golf, i found those disturbing, not because of what happened to the passenger and the driver, but cause there was a baby seat laying around, makes you think, as there is no pictures of the baby, so dont know if it was destroyed in the crash or not in the car, i think thats just freaky

That was some rough stuff. YEa like someone said earlier, it isn't too bad until you start noticing the little details. Yea, kinda reminds me of the Ferrari pic on Rotten.com website. that one was definatly sick.

I've seen the ferrari crash before. Pretty gruesome. My dad's friend's son died in a motor cycle accident I had to go to the funeral. This also makes me think twice when I ride in my friends fiero GT. Its a car but probably the worst car to ride in. One more reason why I bought my maxima. Nick
