I wish it was only the seatbelt because I'd be able to remedy that myself. Unfortunately, the squeak comes from the actual seat cushion area. It seems to come from the front left-hand side of the driver seat. When I lean foward, get in or out of the car, that stupid squeak appears!Shift_Perfection wrote:Eric.. I have a squeak as well in my driver seat. In my car (maybe yours is the same?) the squeak is coming from the seatbelt holder above the seat, not the actual seat. Like that little plastic thing that elevates the seatbelt is making the noise, not the actual seat. Maybe that's your problem as well? Everytime I move it creaks I'm gonna have them fix it but not anytime soon.. Anyway good luck

I brought the service advisor outside and showed him exactly what I was talking about. He then called the mechanic who came out to reconfirm the odd sounds and now I have to take my car back next week. Only this time, it is documented that they did hear the squeaks and I am getting a loaner, which I rightfully deserve.
This is so frustrating because this was the second time I took it in. Now I have to go back for a third, which really irritates me because I have much better things to do than to take my car in for service! I'll keep you guys posted on the situation. Hopefully they can fix it all next week and I'll be on my merry way.
Welcome to the customer service world of the United States. Nobody wants to do anything until you actually shove their nose into the problem. You shouldn't have to prove anything to the customer service department, but things don't always work in our favor. In the end, its just more headaches, problems, and inconveniences for the customer.generic808 wrote:

Pssshhh...I didn't get a loaner with my first or second trip. But now that it's "documented", I finally get one. Go figure! They could've just asked me the first time to duplicate it, but I guess that was beyond them.ssjones wrote:Definitely find out what they did to resolve. I left a screw or something in my cubby or the glovebox which rattles from one end to the other in corners. Definitely have to get that out before my trip to OH tomorrow. So far, the rest of the car is quiet after 1,500 miles.
So you didn't get a loaner the first time around, but get one for the 2nd repair attempt?

+1 I was about to take it to the dealership, but maybe not now.nismofool wrote:i seem to have the same exact air bag light issue as the rest of you do.
I have power seats and I don't think it has the pump you speak of. Or does it? I'll have to check up on that one, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have that feature.Juiced06 wrote:It is air filled and you can increase pressure with the little handle just left of your hip it seems like a cheesy set up but thats what it is. Remember the Reebok pumps shoe its the same idea except its not your shoe
When you move around in your seat you can hear it deflating slightly and maybe even inflating slightly=== Sqeak psss sqeak pssss try it in a quiet environment.
Johnny, I had a rattling and buzzing sound coming from my dash. I tightened the dash speakers and it seems to have done the trick. That might be what's wrong with yours.johnny_d wrote:my dash started to rattle today .........arrrg, I have a thing about stuff rattling in the car that's why i don't leave stuff in the side pockets and now the freaking dash is ratttling too
I see you live in HI...........You have no Idea what Nissan squeeks and rattles are.........You should hear an altima in freezing temps....It is frightening.......Cheap plastic is very noisey and brittlegeneric808 wrote:So, my car has been at a stealership for the past 2 days to fix the seat squeaks and the passenger seat airbag light. Well, they basically did nothing to fix the problems! Their response:
"Uh...we hooked up the diagnostic and nothing is wrong with the airbag light. It's normal for the light to come on, but it usually shuts off after a while. If it stays on and doesn't turn off at all, then we have a problem. As far as your seats are concerned, we couldn't duplicate the problem so there's nothing wrong with it."
Was I pissed off at their response. So they think I'm stupid and I'm basically hearing things?!! I've lived with these irritating squeaks and creaks, I finally find the time to take my car and leave it there for 2 days, and you're telling me I'm hearing things?!!
I got the Nissan corporate number and I'll be sure to give them a call. There's definitely something wrong with my seats and I'm not just going to sit here and do nothing about it. They take me for a fool or something. Really, how can you NOT hear the creaking sound when you shift in the seat? Everytime I brake and accelerate, I get this irritating sound that I can't bear for much longer.
Anyone got a permanent fix for their seat problems? If so, what did your dealership do to fix it?
