I don't think that it is reasonable to get a premium package with navi that has a 10GB hard drive, an in dash Cd player and a 6 disk changer and then not use ANY of it and instead have to hookup an ipod and fumble around with that to listen to music.
Just wondering if anyone else has figured out how to get MP3s onto this setup?
Actually the iPod is really the way to go with the stock setup. With it you have full navigation of menus, etc. unlike what you have with the hard drive (which by the way is actually larger then 10 GB, just you can't use the rest for music). To me the really question is the logic behind crippling so much of the menus for the hard drive while leaving so much functionality of the iPod interface available. If we are speaking about safety I find it far more unsafe trying to get around a crippled menu structure then if it was not so crippled and maybe more logically laid out. If the iPod menu structure is safe to use, then copy it for the most part for the hard drive interface. Being the same or very close to it would make it more familiar and thus safer to use.
