Well im moving back to washington and its getting worse every year. I know the top will be fine but I'm not too sure about the rear plastic window. What does every brave vert owner that lives in the northern hemisphere do when their rear window freezes over.

Please don't say "tough it out and deal with it! Verts are awesome!"

The plastic is very sensitive to chemicals even soaps so are there any products that have been proven to work to deice the rear window without damage?

Best bet seems to be warm water.

Don't know how any in the North with a Vert for a DD and no garage could make it.

I honestly just let it stay frozen over, or leave the snow lay on it. I don't want to scratch it with the brush or go through the process of deicing It's nice though, because a lot of people around here drive trucks, or have hids, or have trucks with hids, so it gets quite annoying, so the layer of snow, or the fogged over window helps keeping me from getting a migraine.

I'm one of those people with a dd vert and no garage and I made it through last winter just fine.

Wow, Honolulu HI., to Washington.......in my eyes that just sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Myself, unless its light powder snow, I leave it there and use side mirrors. You don't want to be brushing or scraping the heavy icy snow off that window.

A real man wouldn't even need to put the top down!

I would use a brush to get the snow off, but not a scraper. Warm water might work, but if it's really cold, that'll just freeze right away and make things worse.

You could try some of that de-icer chemical stuff that is supposed to work pretty nice.

wouldnt exactly use warm water, with the chance of cracking the windshield. Oh wait... you said warm, maybe like very luke warm water. We hit 12 degrees the other night, that was fun.

12 degrees... that sounds like a nice high temp for us.

Of course I shouldn't talk about using a convertible in the winter, my 'vert sits in the garage all winter. It's currently acting as a cabinet and storage shelf for quite a few different boxes and other items.
