My 1991 Q45a has the ACTSUS (Active Suspension Warning Lamp) light lit up on the dash and the car does not raise. I had all 9 of my accumulators replaced and after doing a Self-Diagnosis and also connecting the CONSULT 2, I get the same message:VERTICAL G SENSOR FRONT FAULTY- MALFUNCTION CODE 15

On the CONSULT 2 printout, I got a reading of 1.83. According to the Factory Service Manual page FA-72, it says that if there is continuity when the test is performed, then the Vertical G Sensor is faulty. The mechanic who tested the sensor said that there was continuity.

So does that mean I need a new Vertical G Sensor? If I buy a new sensor, will that allow my car to raise?

Before I replaced the accumulators, the car had a harsh ride, but would still rise.

*****UPDATE*****

The ACTIVE is back! Finally at long last, the Front Vertical G Sensor arrived this morning at 8:00am sharp courtesy of UPS. I grabbed my 10mm sockets, extensions, and wrench immediately and replaced the old one with the new part. The red light went out in the dash, I flicked the switch in the center console from N to H and the green light lit up on the dash and the car started to lift. Everything looks real good so far.

Here are some pics of the New Sensor:

I am getting ready to take the car for a spin with the active working. I'll let you know what I think when I get back.

When you switch from N to H the front of the car, you can see the car rise and it makes it look like a 4x4. When you sit in the driver's seat, you can notice the car is higher. Driving impression, you feel like you are immune to speed bumps and potholes and like you are sitting tall on your throne.
