vert top problem

i have 92 240sx vert and when i put my top up and area it touch i have to pull real hard to get one side to latch and then pull hard on other side to get it to latch

my other vert (stolen) when i put top up it was sit flush and would latch easy


how could i fix this or do i need new top?

Would look at the frame, might be something misaligned. Most you have to pull a little, because you want tension on the top, but shouldn't be too much.

ok where should i start looking i am reading the Vert supplement
and i see alot of places that i can adjust.

i dont want to mess it up more ....

I've never had the problem, but would just look around to see if somewhere looks like its binding or the frame doesn't look right.

Change your pump to manual mode where you can manually raise and lower the top, maybe you can feel where it gets tight.

late reply to this, but i also have the same problem, the passenger side gets perfectly close, and will latch flawlessly, but the drivers side is extremely tight, and comes about an inch too far away from latching... the car is garage kept with no engine, so its no big deal, but id also like to know what fixes this!

i haven't had any time to work on mine sac it been raining a lot :(


plus i think my motor ka about to Die :(( smoking all the time now idle and rev and under load ,,,,
