Yes, one of the bows broke on her car. I've been trying to help her, but I got tied with something. To me, it looked like #1 bow. Yeah, please give her some details on how you fixed yours.

oh my goodness!!thanksi am going to take this to the only guy in asheville nc that deals with verts, and see it it helps. the thing[bow]? is twisted and snapped and is a nightmare. i appreciate the response. i really hate conflict but i feel a hormonal rage coming on with my vert mechanic, ive been paying insurance taxes tags on the car parked on his lot for 14 months.

yea mines also twisted and snapped off.

my friend and i are going to end up taking the bar out and straightening it up with a hammer. Then he's going to weld it back in for me with an extra piece of metal for brace.

the bar only sags the top a bit right? But can be moved around when the top is up and down.

if so mines exactly like that. The weird thing is when the top is up and you adjust it just right....it'll prop right up and stay in place til you put the top back down. its just a royal b to deal with every time.

Your best bet would be to find someone parting a car out that has the top frame in good condition. It would probably be cheaper and easier than having your guy replace just the front bow. Just a thought.

I had the tops for both my Infiniti M30 and 240 vert replaced and repaired at Auto Tops and Interiors in Raleigh - not too far from Ashville.

http://www.autointeriorsandtops.com/

They had to replace a broken metal peice on the M30 so I'm sure they do this type of repair work.

You can contact me for more info if you'd like. [email protected]

good luck!

use a junkyard parts locating service... I don't remember the name of one but I had to use one to get a new sunroof glass for my first hatch because I couldn't find one around my house.

All the verts are in the south.. the houston junkyards had a handful of verts. So they are out there.
