I have done some searching, but have not come up with any threads to answer my question. If I land the 93 vert I am looking at, I am assuming with the age of the car and mileage, strut and coil over changes will be in order. I am in no way interested in lowering the car, but am looking for the smoothest, most comfortable ride possible from the car. Is there any suggestions as to what to go with to achieve this?

If you want new shocks, tirerack has KYB GR-2 and AGX on sale right now.

OK, but are these the ones I keep reading about that lowers the car? I have never liked the lowered look, in cars or trucks, (yes, I'm an old man) I really don't need a real high performance suspension, what interests me most is a smoothe, stable, secure ride, the closest to that in a sport type car I can get anyway.

Coil-over suspension will get you a firm sporty ride, and help you lower the car to any point you choose. But, based on your post, that's not what you are after.

Instead of coilovers, my suggestion would be a set of KYB AGX shocks. They are adjustable from a somewhat stock feel to a firm stiff "racing" feel.

Then go with a set of stock springs. Most aftermarket springs are made for "lowering" and as such, will not make for the smoothest ride possible.

Those a my suggestions based on your thoughts.

My own personal opinion: Stick with the KYB AGX shocks, but find some aftermarket springs that offer a slight drop. The appearance of the 'vert will be much improved from even a 1" drop. The ride quality will be a tad firmer, but for most of us.. that's a plus. It's not like you're going into this expecting a Cadillac ride. So a little firmer ride should be welcomed to enhance the sporty nature of this car.

Do you guys have sponsors that offer these choices, or do I just do a general internet search, or go through dealer?

Great question!

Here's a list of NICO advertisors. http://www.nicoclub.com/subpages/addirectory.shtml

As slowzenki stated.. Tirerack is a sponsor, and it sounds like they have KYB shocks on sale right now.

Enjuku Racing offers a KYB shock/Tein spring package for $379.99 if you're interested. That setup should give you just what you're looking for.
