I think I saw somewhere, but can't find it. Quick question. Is vert seat belt receiver same as Z32's? I'm talking about this.

Yes, front ones.
Somehow I thought receivers in the vert are different than coupe's or hatchback's.
Thanks for the clarification.

Wait, are you asking if they're the same as other s13s or other z32? They're the same as any S13 one, but I don't know about Z32. I know the S14 receiver doesn't work for the s13 belt, so I'd assume that the Z32 one wont work either.

They are different. As in different than any Nissan I believe. They are different than other S13 for sure. Believe they may be a GM product.

That's what I thought, but all s13 front receivers might be same. Here's the part diagram.

Vert front seat diagram. Seat belt receiver is not specified here.

s13 240sx 1989-1994. Looks like 86842 & 86843 are used for all s13s.

Anyway, I ordered a new pair and will pick them up on Friday. I'll update this thread after I get them. Hopefully, new ones fit on mine.

Hope they fit, but I've seen where others had to go find their receivers because the hatch/coupe ones wouldn't work.

I can confirm they are different. I have a hatch out in my shop, so I did a quick comparison to the belt buckle and receiver. The buckles are different dimensions (granted, I have my rear belts moved forward, but they fit my original receivers, so I'm making an assumption that the buckles are the same). The hatch buckle I have has an elongated latch hole. It was around 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. The overall buckle length was 1 1/4" and the width was 1 1/16". The vert was more square, being around 1 1/16" square and the latch hole was 1/2" square.

Given some of the parts I've had to replaced were from GM, it's not a far leap to think ASC sourced out belts and buckles from GM as well. I know I've tried to contact ASC in the past about info on the vert before and got the brick wall from them, but that was primarily about production numbers. They might still have on file somewhere where they sourced the belts/buckles and help us get replacement parts if necessary.

I will note that the receivers are very similar. Granted, I don't have any measurements since they're both still attached to seats in their respective cars, but the differences seem to be internally where the buckles latches in. Otherwise, they look the same.

Okay, they didn't fit, so I had to return them.
Courtesy Nissan will investigate what's the part number for vert receivers.

My initial guess was right.
One of my neighbors has 300ZX, so I checked it out.
It's exactly same as ours.
I need to buy buckles for Z32.

That would make sense too since the S13 receivers can bolt up to a Z seat.

Hmm...do we happen to know if Nissan can still supply the rear belts? Curious to see and have them replaced with brand new ones, not the old and faded ones I have right now.

Finally, I replaced them.

New one and old one.

Top is 300ZX's and below ours.
Metal extension is longer on 300ZX's, so I had to swap them.

You need to use a special screw driver to disassemble them.

Installed.

I cleaned up interior real good since I had to take out the seats.

I will get back with you on rear seat belt buckles.

Here's the screw driver. Star shaped and a hole in the middle.

Nissan only has 4 or 5 300ZX seat belt buckles left in stock, so get yours while you can.

Rear buckles are all same through 1989-1994 hatch, coupe and vert.
Sorry, 88842 is NO longer available.

Hmm...not surprising given how much vert stuff is impossible to find through OE warehouses. I really wish ASC would divulge where they got certain parts. I have a feeling that the belt is a cross over from somewhere, but it'll be impossible to find out trying to go through Nissan.

I found that b14 200sx front buckles work with s13 vert seat belts and vice versa.
