My automatic finally died on me and I couldn't find a new one. So I decided to throw this in there. I had it laying around my garage, so I decided to put it in. Ca18det with 5 speed.

Very nice! CA's are the original 'vert engine. They just belong!

Car looks fantastic with a CA under the hood, and those sweet wheels.

yes, that's how it is.

LOVE seeing a ca in the vert! i've got a couple ca's laying around that i originally wanted to toss into a gutted coupe and boost the heck out of it, but the coupe is no more and i have no use for the ca's. if you're ever in my neck of the woods, i'll give you a good deal on some spare parts...

so, how's the ca-vert? i know a lot of people think it's too small of a motor for a vert. i'd like to think otherwise. let us know how it performs.

Too many people made fun of them, so i got rid of them.....

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!

I needed money to fund my RX7 FDT78 build, so I got rid of them. Rbmotoring has a **** load of them. I'll pick up another set after the fd is rolling. The vert also needs a lot suspension work and I hate riding in a car that handles like Doo..Doooo.

What's goin on with your engine? Have you let the cat out of the bag?

The ca is night and day after rolling around with a stock ka. The transmission decided that second gear was the gear to stay in, so I had to swap it. Nothing was wrong with my ka, although it had 150k.

We are having a drift event this weekend in VA and I might give it a go with the ca vert.

Only problem rigth now is that it likes to hesitate when cold and boost is being held back like is v-tak or something. I'm going to go thru the CA forum and see what I can find.
