I was at the junkyard today and they recently got a black vert in and it's pretty mangled up.My question is if all the convertibles have an LSD?this one is a '94 automatic and appears to have had ABS. I 'ed it and did not find a conclusive answer. First time posting in the vert section since I spend most of my time in zeroforum/44

It's an open diff. No LSD for vert. No ABS either. Vert just has ABS hardwares such as pads and rotors.

Previous owner must have installed it. Vert didn't come with LSD from the factory.

lol yup, helps from getting stuck a bit better than just one spinning there laughing at you. hahaMy mom's 4dr has an lsd and hasn't gotten stuck yet, it slips, but both wheels are at least trying.

I've actually enjoyed my lsd even more than my open in the snow and ice. It doesn't spin as much and as soon as 1 tire hits dry ground both stop spinning and go.

I find it easier to control to. Not from a super I'm going sliding around every snow filled street, but conservative trying to make it to work and home safely driving.

I'm not sure if a clutch type is harsh in snow, but my vlsd does just fine, and doesn't get stuck at all.

I'm wondering if anyone actually got my little pun now

When the weather warms up I will probably bite the bullet and find myself a J30 diff and go pay a shop to install it.

91+ Canadian 240sx's all have LSD BECAUSE of the snow lol.. lsd in snow very much a good thing..

get one wheel on snow and one on pavement then tell me you wouldn't have prefered an lsd lol

not to mention snow drifting is the ****. best part of winter..

side note verts in Canada still don't have lsd tho.. verts are the exception to the rule..

NO THEY DON'T !~!!!!! (Why is this Urban Myth keep popping up time and time again in Nissan 240SX communities ????)

Trust me - I'm likely one of the few in our community that has purchased a 240SX brand new off the show room floor - so I KNOW what options you could purchase.

NOT ALL CANADIAN 1991-1994 240's come with VLSD.
