Looks like the 5 door Hatch market just got more interesting...

Not more interesting when it doesn't come here. And that's ugly more like a wagon.

Seems like the Versa Cousin is not getting any love here on the forum, so how about the Versas' Brother then. It has the same engine and transmissions, but you can't say it isn't ...different.

Anybody going to trade their Versa for this one?[IMG][/IMG]

I would take the MR V6 Clio, just not that one.

And don't like to drive boxes, so I'll stay clear of the cube, but it fits a market and should do well.

When/IF the FR 4cyl 2 door concept gets into production is when the Versa gets traded.

Ah yeah, same here. I hear speculation about a new Silvia/240sx in the works. If it ever happened I doubt it would come to the US. So.. As soon as I get out of college, I see Mazdaspeed 3 or Subaru WRX in my future. Maybe Nissan will have an affordable, practical sports car when I'm ready to buy.

I can see 370Z is what you want.... Although it's still a bit high, but way better than 350 in price & performance wise...

I've heard possible 10 year depression. With major deflation spiral in car prices - due to massive inventory.Wonder if the new models will make it on time? Wonder if there will be anyone working to assemble them and then buy them..?

Let's hope not (decade long depression).

As for new model delays, that's already happening. Look at the new Camaro - it's been postponed twice. Similarly, the PIH Volt looks to be nothing more than vaporware. But these are both from GM, so it should come as no surprise.

I forsee the compact and subcompact markets getting even more crowded (and more competitive) with most folks purchasing cars they can actually afford. The auto companies that survive are going to face a drastically diminished market in which they'll have to find a way to turn a profit with a much smaller organization. Hopefully the Japanese automakers remember what it was like to be the niche players from a few decades back - they'll have to trim back considerably to get there.

To the original poster, the 5 door hatch version of the Clio is one of the more popular models for medium sized families in Europe.

The 3 door version has more sexy appeal to the younger generations and offers a lot of power plant options.

Both models I would own. The Renault Clio is one of my all time favorite cars.
