Later next month, my 2007 Versa SL will be four years old.

Maintenance since new:
oil changes
air filter change
4 new tires at 30,000 miles (new Kumhos rated for 60K)
one rear light bulb
wipers
new battery

It still has the original brake pads. The car has been reliable, dependable, thrifty and overall well worth the purchase price. The next four years will require new brake pads, change the coolant, belt, and eventually, the CVT fluid change. Totally stock SL model with ABS.

Don't hear from Kimber Kenobi much any more or any of the folks who like me, were on this board when the Versa first came out. If they still have their Versa, it is or will be in its fifth year of service. I'm sure many have traded or sold their Versa for something else, it happens.

42,000 miles of all kinds of weather (mostly sunny), all kinds of trips. It's a keeper and a good car.

I'm still here! 2-1/2 months ago my first one turned four, although my son now has it. I put 99,000 miles on it and he's had it for 14 months. Of course, in that 14 months I've put 6500 miles more on its replacement than you put on yours in four years...

After putting nearly 150k miles on Versas I still love 'em. My daughter's put about 70k on hers, and still loves it, too. There's a chance I might consider something else when this one gets to 250k, but it would sure have to have a CVT!

I'm glad you still like yours, and sure happy I don't have to use as much air conditioning as you!

2007 SL hatchback roll call! Great car. I was a bit worried about making such a purchase with the loss of value etc, but the car has been worth it. The car has only had one problem and this was covered by the warranty. We all remember the problem of the fuel line loosing pressure, well, mine had it. The dealership was super cool and took care of the problem quickly. Aside from that issue the car has been great. Right now the car just got a new set of tires after reaching 44K on the original Continentals, second set of replacement wiperblades and I bought a new battery for it. Some dings and scratches from irresponsible people at the parking lots but it only adds to the character of the car.I do most of the maintenance on the car and it has been fun. I will have this car for a long time. Rock on Versa! :mike

I'm still here ... although mine's an 08! I just passed 40K last week :)
Glad to hear that all of your Versa's are still running strong.
So far I've only had to do the routine oil changes, in-cabin filter replacement, and wipers. No headlights or tire replacements yet.
Versa has been a great first car. I hope it runs for another 10 years time. I want to drive it until it dies :)

Bought ours in July "07 and running better as time goes on. Gas mileage actually improved after the car hit 30,000 miles. Had to take a road trip to Utah for a funeral over the weekend; 1,200 miles round-trip, driving all night both ways in sub-freezing temp most of the way. The entire trip at 70-75 mph on cruise control, including over 4,000 rpms on some of the hill climbs. Final calculations show over 32 mpg for the total trip. Still a very comfortable car on long drives.

As a side note, Utah is now experimenting with sections of 80 mph on I-15. At least 5 sections of 20 miles each between Provo and St. George. I didn't push that fast only because I was tired, it was night-time and I'm not very familiar with those sections of roadway.

My 2007 Versa SL HB was 4 years-old back in July.

Only needed a new engine at 56Kmi ;) Still love it though!

My Versa now over 4 years too.. taking it in this Saturday for the 51 month. No breakdowns or mechanical problems. Mileage has improved. Only 2 interior problems - passenger airbag cover has warped and steering rim peeling its glossy finish. If your in the market for a V get the leather-wrapped wheel... I'm not bothered with mine, this is leased and will be handed back next summer.

Now I'm trying hard to find out about Ford's all-new dual clutch autobox in the Fiesta and pending Focus. I wonder what will need servicing and how much those clutches cost. Of one thing I'm certain it won't have the lengthy CVT warranty. Still if dual-clutch proves to do the trick mileage-wise I'll take a closer look.

The dual clutch transmission is a dry-clutch system that is sealed for the life of the transmission (~150,000 miles).

Thanks Andrew

I'll try sneak a quick off topic Q on this thread - what's Ford's warranty on the dual clutch any idea?

Bought my Versa in July 2007 so it is not quite 4 yet. Has 40,000 miles.

Recently replaced the tires with Cooper CS4 Touring H rated tires. Big improvement over the stock Conti's.
Do my own maintenance (oil changes, filters).
Original brakes. This summer I will drain and fill coolant and auto transmission fluid again.
Only one significant problem and that was the front end clunk that required replacement of the steering column. (3 visits)
Replaced tail light bulbs that had burnt out.
Car starting to start a little sluggish, suspect battery may need replacing soon.
Many minor problems with trim and other plastic pieces that fall off or come loose.
Passenger seat slide mechanism no longer works, so the seat can't be moved fore or aft.
Right now the fuel filler door release lever doesn't open the fuel door. The cable has come loose and I need to spend some quality time under the dash trying to figure out how it goes back together. A piece of duct tape has been applied over the catch of the fuel door so it can be popped open when I need to fill up.

Have you had the fuel regulator replaced which when it fails causes delayed starting. Turn the ignition on and wait 5 seconds before engaging the starter. If it catches faster then you mights have a bad fuel regulator.

Kind of slow replying (don't get on the forum too much), no I haven't had the fuel regulator replaced. I know that was a common problem with the early Versas and mine is an 07. Mine acts like an aging battery, it just turns over (cranks) a little slower than it used to. It fires off quickly. The car will be four years old in July and the original battery is probably getting close to the end of its life.
