I'm Sure you have been asked this before, as i searched thru some older posts about towing with the versa. I figured i would go ahead and just double check.

I suppose a 4x6 Uhaul trailer would be too heavy to tow with the Versa Hatchback S.

I'm attempting to move out on my own finally (at 23) from florida to massachusetts. Im going to be leaving alot behind but was hoping for the extra trailer room for a few extra things.

The quoted price from uhaul is hitting $1k with a 10 foot trailer and a Car Tow Trailer. i dont really need all the truck room and i deffinatly dont have the funds for that kinda setup. ANy Suggestions?

Pack the Versa with as much as possible and see what someone like UPS or the USPS would charge to ship the rest. When our son went to the base in Florida we put as many big things in the car as possible, packed little things around those, then wound up shipping some smaller boxes for a pretty reasonable price.

Do you have much in the way of larger things that won't fit in the Versa?

Not really leaving most of it behind i guess. im tallying it up now but the biggest is afew boxes of PC parts, some clothes my PC and a 27" tv. id really like to take my stand-up water dispenser and a few other things. but shipping may be the best way for some of the smaller things.

I installed a Curt hitch myself. Hitch has worked perfect with a Northern Tool 4x6 utility trailer. Hitch is rated higher than I would tow. The trailer is 2000#. Trailers over 1500# may require elec brakes. Wiring for lights was a pain. With 4 adults a baby, dog, trailer w/600# of camping crap got 28 mpg over 450 mi. You may not be able to rent a uhaul trailer to use with the versa since a hitch is not an option, something to look into. For what its worth the trailer cost under $450. With hitch installed, you would still be under rental cost, plus you have a hitch for a bike rack.
