We had 10 inches of rain in West Houston last night and the V was parked in the street. Got up this morning and had 3 inches of water inside the Versa and four inches inside the 325i. I did not start either car and State Farm had a tow truck at our house by 1400 and towed the two cars to their respective dealerships. Mossy Nissan in Houston is super as they have already stripped the carpet out and will clean the car up, change all fluids, replace the carpet, clean all exposed electrical connections/lubricate them etc. The comprehensive is $500 per card deductible, but many of our neighbors had a foot of water inside their houses so our problem is minor. Life is full of surprises and some days just do not go as planned.

Man, sorry to hear that. We'll get that much rain all year.

I take it you left windows or sunroofs open?

Ah...yeah, that makes sense. Didn't think of that. Either way it sucks.

Street flooded. Is the sunroof even an option on a Versa. Not sure I have seen one.

Miss Luv has a sunroof on hers. It is a $600 option on the SL.

Lol, yes I do have a sunroof on mine! haha! It is an option. When I bought it here in Ontario, in order to get the sunroof you had to add the technology package and sport package. Total for those two packages was an extra $2000. Well worth it imo! Love the sunroof!

You should give your V a nickname, like "Pampered Queen"

My biggest regret is not spending the extra money.

I had good reason [at the time, so I thought]:

1. Bluetooth? Who needs it! Me, it turns out. So I saved on the tech package, which means I couldn't get the sport package.

2. Sunroof? Who needs it! If it weren't for the sunroof I probably would have bit, as I like the looks of the sport package . . . so would have grudgingly got the tech pack. But I have no use for a sunroof so said "forget it". Mistake.

New policy: don't be so chintzy just to save a coupla bucks. No need to go whole hog [Altima] but forget the bottom [Lada]

Aww, ya I knew I wanted to spend the extra money up front because I knew I would regret it down the road. I purchased my V and plan on keeping it until it dies (hopefully many years from now) so I paid the extra money to get the fun goodies. I'll admit I didn't really want the tech package at first, I simply got it because I had to get it in order to get the sport package. Well, turns out I love it. I keep my purse in the trunk usually so it's great. I can phone people without actually picking up my phone. It is actually a pretty neat feature!

Well... I have seen so many things about the SL version that I regret I didn't even ask for the price of getting that cool stuff... As the price I paid for the Versa (Tiida) was like way above the price I was willing to pay for my new car, my budget just didn't want to ask for any other thing$.
