You gain access to the screws holding the assembly to the body from within the truck area. Open the hatch and look at the inside of the rear corner. You'll see a set of plastic caps. Use a screwdriver tip to pry these away, and you'll get access to the nuts holding the taillight assembly in place.

I had a brake light quit working. When I mentioned it to my dealer, they said the bulbs were covered under warranty. They found the stoplight bulb was merely loose, not burned out. They re-installed it, and it's worked fine since.

I need a little help about this one too.

I took the two bolts off the screws from the inside but it is still not giving. I did a little reserch on it but its telling me the same thing I have allready done. I ended up pulling off the plastic case on the inside and theres a plastic thing on the inside connected to the light case and its not coming off... i dont want to break it so help me out please.

sorry its a little hard to explain it, it would be better if i could show you. i have only had this car for about 7 months. just trying to get it fixed.

Are you telling me that the entire tail light assembly has to be removed to change the bulb???? While the hell didn't they just make an access panel that you can reach in and change the bulb like every other car manufacture? If you pull the headlight assembly out won't that break the seal and eventually cause a leak??????

yes, you need to remove the tailight assembly from the car to change the bulb. Beyond the screws, they are snapped itno grommets on the body that keep them retained. That's why they are hard to come out. You need to pull them rearward to get them out of the grommets. You don't break any seals on the light assemblies by removing them from the body.
