I am pretty upset that I did not get the "upgraded" 07 SL Versa. I am really missing my ipod and everyone knows the iTrip does not work that well.

Can anyone suggest a stereo that installs in the Versa. I went to bestbuy just to ask a while back and they did not have the proper mount, yet. Has anyone had luck at other places and luck with prices?

The single-din mount kit, antenna adapter, and wiring harness adapter are all available from Bob at Versaspeed.com.

Once you have those, ANY standard single DIN stereo will work. And if you want to go double din, you can drop the mount kit, as a double-din will fit without a dash kit (just get the wiring harnesses).

As far as suggestions... you'll get almost as many different responses as you'll have members on the board.

Personally, I'd say stay away from cheap HU's like Boss or Jensen, and stay away from Sony due to their tendancy to have flaky optics inside the mechanism.

I've had good luck with basically every other brand... Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic...

The best stereo I have worked with has been, hands down, the Alpine stereos - 2007+. Not only is the iPod adapter only 30 bucks, but the sound quality is among the best you will ever get for stock AND aftermarket speakers.

My suggestion is to go to Best Buy and look down the line and see how much you want to spend.
