Anyone know if this is available in Canada yet? Or when it will be available? I'm days away from signing papers and still really want a sunroof. It's on the Canada nissan website, but I asked my dealer and he said it wasn't available? Was this just something he said to try and get me to buy what he had available?
Help please? Don't want to buy till I know for sure.

No one knows for sure. SL's are rolling out of the factory with sunroofs because we've seen a few here. But the availability of them are pretty scarce here in America. When I checked a few months back, the sunroofs were available but there was a low amount of being made. I'm not sure if any are making it to Canada, but if you're able to select the option I would think that the option is available to you even if it's hard to find. I would check with other dealers to see what they have to say about the availability. It may be available, but may cause you to have to wait a few extra weeks to get one.
Alternative, you can negotiate with the dealer to give you a comparable sunroof installed by them for the same price. People will say, "Oh, an aftermarket sunroof? They leak and are no good." A sunroof that's installed properly and cared for will last for the life of the car. A lot of cars you see on lots that have sunroof have dealer installed sunroofs. Sometimes it's hard to get cars with sunroofs from the factory, so they put them in themselves and charge a little bit more. People think since it's a new car with the option, it must be a factory unit and can't even tell the difference. Even if you got a factory unit, it will be installed the same as the aftermarket. Just make sure you have a lifetime leak warranty.

When you build your Versa on Nissan.ca , there is no option to pick the sports package (which has the sunroof). If you look at the specs, you'll see that the components of the sports package are marked as "late availability", so it means they aren't available yet. So my guess is that it isn't even available in Canada yet, so it will be at least a couple of months, if not more, to get the sunroof.

I didn't check the Canadian site before I posted. I see that there's no option for a sunroof at all except with the sport package. I agree with michelkenny, you'll have to wait until the sport package is produced or get the dealer to install. In the States, the sport package should be available in Jan of next year.

Hi,the last time i checked with my dealer here in edmonton, i was told they dont expect sunroof model until feb 07.
