We have run into what appears to be a classic case of the ASCD switch problem (with our Versa SL M/T purchased in July '06.) However, to make things interesting we are currently spending time in Southern Mexico and are have a difficult time getting the problem fixed.
I've made two visits to the nearest dealership explaining the problem--and that it's probably related to the ASCD switch. However they claim that they do not have any information on the problem from Nissan. I've contacted the Nissan 1-800 number for assistance and they refuse to "interfere" in Mexico (they can only help me if I'm in Canada or the US.) Emails to the dealership where we bought the car in Canada have gone unanswered.
Does anyone have the Technical Service Bulletin details for this problem? (either a reference # or a copy of it.) I am unable to find anything at http://www.nissantechinfo.com.
