Versa S Subwoofer question

I have the Versa S and I have installed a Kenwood HU and I will be replacing the 6.5" speakers soon.

I know some versa's (SL) have the Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, but my question is if I have the S model, is the space/mounting location for the subwoofer still there? I'm not sure where they put the subwoofer, and I am wondering if I can put my own subwoofer there if there is a place to mount it.

Any pictures of the Rockford subwoofer in the Versa would be appreciated.

The sub box mounts on the driver's side of the luggage compartment just behind the fender well. I know the wiring is there in the SL, but I'm not sure about the S. As for installing the box, it might require a different side panel, I'm not sure. I've never seen a versa with the sub installed.

I installed a Kenwood X692 receiver today and it makes the factory speakers sound a lot better. I'll probably hold off on the new speaker/amp for a while.

I just bought a Versa S sedan, 2011. I don't intend to replace the radio/cd player as it fits nicely with the car. Is it possible to just ad a subwoofer to this existing radio? Please help....

not worth it and I do believe you need the SL version of the radio for the sub.
