Boohoo. A Versa is an econocar and that's what I bought it as. It's their choice what people wanna do to their cars but personally I think it's stupid to put money into an entry level 120 HP car for things that have little to no benefit. I'll leave mine alone. I like my stock suspension. It's comfortable and I don't drive in such a way that handling needs to be improved by lowering it. The exhaust is dead quiet and that's the way I like it. The stock body doesn't scream "ROB ME/RICER" so that's staying. I have another car for fast. It's my Dodge Neon. It's an econocar too but they are super cheap to get and it's cheap to fix up the engine to be reliable and fast. My stock SOHC 2.0 3-speed Neon with 190,000 miles outran My gf/s Versa with only 10,000 miles. And that's the crappiest of Neon configurations. A DOHC 5-speed manual stock can eat stock V6 Mustangs. And the Neon will be my super sleeper. It's red but with a black passenger door from being t-boned, a big dent in the driver side quarterpanel, and rides on 14" steelies. It still has plenty of juice left though. Nothing will be done to it cosmetically.

Oh and tint is not really a mod that goes along with everything else like bodykids, exhausts, wheels, etc. It actually serves a real purpose. Looking cool was not it's intended purpose.

Ya know, I bought my V for two reasons, economy and room. It serves both plus much more. I love driving it because it is fun, it's easy to park, it's the quietest vehicle I've ever owned, and it puts a really big smile on my face. I also love all the bells and whistles that I got with my V. I have a '76 Malibu classic that my son and I restored and it really stands out and gets noticed, but I garaged it when I bought the V. I hate to admit it but the V drives better than the Malibu.

If you are looking for a car to mod, don't buy the V, get something else. The V was not created for that purpose. It's waaaay too tall and comfortable for that.

Also the V is made to be a commuter vehicle in my opinion and is made to make the daily chores in life like being stuck in traffic, running to the store, and the odd Sunday drive less expensive and much more enjoyable, more like a favorite pair of jeans or your comfortable "sensible" shoes.

I bought my V for what it was, not for what I wished it could be. Sort of the same reason I married my wife, for who she is, not what I hope she would become.

I have a G35 Coupe for Go and a Versa for Slow..

Modding the versa is stupid. Except maybe wheels, Tint & a HID conversion but if you mess with the engine (intakes etc.. ) you're no better then a honda owner..

120 HP will never be impressive. heck if you get it up to 150 hp your still only as fast as a stock 240sx.. **wow** such speed.

STFU!! The Versa is fun and modding it is acceptable.

you've redeemed yourself... I agree where it applies to engine modding.

(I hope you've been around here long enough to know, but if not, I meant the STFU with a smile on my face...)

If you wanna do serious modding get a 240SX(like I do) and have the Versa as the DD/inclimate weather vehicle.

West Covina Nissan has an "Elite" package that includes leather interior and a very nice custom grille on the front. Maybe you could contact them about buying just the grille for your Versa.

Here's a Versa on their lot with the grille..

you can pretty much say its stupid to mod any vehicle.....but whats the fun in that, it doesn't matter what car I have, it doesn't stay stock long....I beleive in making it my own.....I do it for self enjoyment and don't really care what other people think......its more then just getting from point A to point B for me......when you drive as much as I do, you might as well enjoy it

times 11 billionty! People just want to make "THEIR" car "THEIRS" by doing some mods here and there, not EVERYONE wants to be a ricer. Some of us just enjoy modding our cars. BUT the REAL modders are the ones that do things themselves and customize things to suit. Just as Bulldog had did with his stock SL rims by painting them black, etc.

Their description of the car on their website isn't very accurate. They load up an S model, then add their "Elite" package, having custom things done to it outside of things normally available from Nissan. Tinted windows, all leather interior, fancier rims and tires, maybe lowering springs and some other things that they price as a package for $3,000. Leather interior is available in just about any color you want and it's very nice.

You are simply dealing with a car that is 2 years old in the US. It took the 240sx almost 7-8 years to have much aftermarket support and when it first did it was all expensive as hell.

It's not exciting but the rear bumper protector for under $30 is well worth the money. It keeps the top of the rear bumper from getting all scratched up.

Whyd don't you get a FLUX CAPACITOR............ and even install a "KIT" car. That would be cool, it would talk to you.

Hey, I have a dual brake in my car, that is a MOD you can do.
