I purchased a 2012 Versa Hatchback in June. Going through the Owner's Manual I noticed that it says do not use the power outlet while running the air conditioner. I use a Garmin GPS that is powered by a cigarette lighter adapter plug. Here in Texas it's been over 100 degrees each day for weeks now so I don't see myself driving around without the A/C on. Anyone know what terrible thing is going to happen if I use the Garmin and the A/C at the same time?

I think that's probably just a CYA thing their lawyers probably wanted in there. A GPS doesn't require much power anyway. I've been running a GPS and a radar detector both from the power outlet while driving with A/C and headlights on with no problem.
