Most of them don't mean much of anything.SE is sport. SL is luxury. S is "base" even though some cars have a no-trim base model below that.GXE meant different things. At first it meant luxury and was the old "SL". Later it was a base model designation, and GLE was the lux trim label.XE is primarily a truck thing (although there was a Stanza XE). It was the lowest trim level. There was also a Maxima SE-L for a year or two.

There was a Brougham edition of the same model Maxima I drive.
Fleetwood was a coachbuilder who was later incorporated into GM. A lot of GM cars from the 60s to the 80s have "Body by Fleetwood" labels on them, and there were special Fleetwood editions of others (My old 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille was a Fleetwood edition). The Fleetwood Brougham was a special Caddy model that was usually very distinctive from the rest of the Caddy lineup. In the early 90s, for instance, it was the only RWD Cadillac, and was powered by a Corvette-derived V8.

Close. It is actually "Gran turismo omologato" which is Italian, befitting it's Ferrari origins.
