I was looking in the Skyline fourms and I came across these pics and it got me wondering how a V would look in flat black.

I mean I know that the V is no GTR but still, I think it would look really nice in flat black. Im actually thinking about doing it when some money rolls around.

I think it would would pretty decent, with a nice tint lowering and dark rims.

I painted my Oldsmobile beater flat satin black last summer, it looked pretty killer and cost me 350$. The job was awesome too.

I think it would look ok, although many would disagree.

I don't know if anyone else notices, but you either see higher end performance vehicles in flat/satin black, or beaters/projects rattle-can black. The Versa lies somewhere in between right now.

That looks awesome but I wouldn't pay the money to get that done.

I think everything is going to flat finishes within the next 5 years.

Yeah that flat black V looks awesome. I'm not too big on the graphics though.

I used to have a Scion xB prior to my Versa and I actually went to a paint shop to see how much it would cost me to have my car painted flat black. The guy said that he wouldn't even do it for me because it would decrease the value of the car tramendously.

Just a thing to consider if you ever want to get a different car. Most people aren't going to want a flat black finish. :/

Although I think it looks amazing! Especially with some blacked out tail lights and some dark tint.

Flat paint looks cool, but I wouldn't get it done if the original paint was gloss out of the factory. Besides, wouldn't it be easier to scuff up the paint without a clear coat? Maybe you could have the dealer make a special order and have them not put a clear coat?
