Versa In-dash 6 CD Changer Radio...Do the buttons light up?

Hi,

I recently acquired a Versa In dash 6 CD Changer Head Unit and bought the corresponding harness to install it correctly into my vehicle. After installing, the unit powers up as it should and works fine, the only thing is that there is no illumination on the buttons (display lights up though). I'm thinking this is rather awkward because it makes it kind of hard to see what I am trying to do at night. So are the buttons supposed to light up or no? If they are could anyone give me some insight as to what might be the problem? Thanks a lot!

Nobody can tell me if the buttons light up on their versa radios?

the lights do light up, it shouldn't be dark at night all the #'s and everything should be lit in the orange thats throughout the dash. That is all I can say though I know nothing more than they are supposed to be lit.

I am using a metra 71-7552 Harness for power and speaker leads and have all of the main wires connected (I highlighted them) everything works fine, it's just the buttons don't illuminate which is weird. And the harness doesn't have an orange illumination wire so there's no wire to power up for illumination.



I'm stumped, I guess I'll have to change tracks while holding up a maglite.
