I was at the mall today and someone removed the nut holding the rear wiper on my Versa and tried using vice grips to remove the wiper assembly. I when to Nissan to order the new parts and the wiper cost $50 and the nut is $5.50 and they don't have them in stock.

I guess it just a little bad luck but my V will be looking great after I get her fixed.

This confirms my belief that humans suck.

Why the hell would anyone do this to someone else's car? Lowlife scum...

Sorry to hear about your troubles, alonso.

That's just pathetic. They must have needed the wiper for their own Versa and didn't want to spend the $50. I find it hard to believe that one Versa owner would do that to another, but there's really no other reason someone would try to steal the wiper unless they thought it would work on a different car.

Yea I don't know it ticked me off. Now a serous question has anyone had to replace the rear wiper arm and if so does it pop off with a flat bladed screw driver after you remove the 1/2" nut?

Also I will do up a detailed report on how to replace it for you guy's if you want, when the parts come in.

EV the guy who did this to my V will have his karma ruined for the next few years, so what come around goes around.

I just got back from the Nissan dealer and had them install the wiper arm for $13. Turns out that you need a special tool to release the release pin to remove the arm. It took them 35 minutes to do the job.

You can pop it off with a pair of pliers, but it's not easy... and there is some risk you could damage the motor assembly. I popped it off myself.

Overall it's a really cheap a** design. The arm is just press fit onto a knurled stud. If you're going to mount it this way, why not just use a normal wiper blade arm, or at least have a replacement wiper element.
