I just bought my new 09 Versa hatchback three weeks ago. I have ahuge dent (basketball size) in the passenger side of the Hatchback. I think some one fell or pushed off the back of it. My question is it seems that this is a big dent for such force. Has anyone had any problems with with easily dented hatchbak doors?

Hey, welcome to the forum.

A warning: when you post something about the condition of your vehicle someone is bound to ask for a pic . . . you may want to show one so the HB people will know how to answer

No problems with this yet, but I know to keep an eye out for it. I had a Kia Spectra before my V and if you even looked at the car sideways, it would dent. It was the cheapest metal? i've ever seen. Thankfully, it seems the V is stronger, but Im still not going to test it. When I bought mine, one of the extras was to have 25 dents pulled for free over the lifetime of the car by the dealership. Even with this, I and probably you, should be careful...It's no Ford F350.

I would be sick if my car was 3 weeks old with a dent in it.

So far I haven't noticed any dings/dents. I do find that the older model cars seem stronger. My parents minivan is 12 years old now and that thing is super strong. I do have a few rock chips/scrapes on my V but it is a car, so its bound to get some road damage Unfortunately ...

When I bought my Versa it had a dent in the rear hatchback door. They fixed it for me. I have another small one in the same spot already.

I haven't had any problems. I play soccer and go watch my younger brother's games alot and have had numerous soccer balls nail my car at high speeds in several places and not a dent in sight. (We're talking college athletes here not AYSO people.) V just shrugs it off like a slight breeze.

I took it to the body shop and the guy told me that the hatchback has no support beams in it like a regular car door. He said that the bumper takes most of the beating in a crash. He said that the hatch back is basically like a quarter panel. The sedan may have been a better option had I know this. I hope that this does not happen again. $600 bucks down the drain.

Actually I know exactly what your dent is! I have a dent the size of a basketball that is on the drivers side of the hatch.... right where that sexy line runs parallel to the rear window. Its like a fat guy fell on it.... It makes me shed a tear everytime I walk by it.

I made it 3 months before I dented the drivers door of my new (Nov 2009) Versa. All it took was a brisk wind knocking the door into the mirror of the car next to me in a parking lot. Today I dented the passenger side when it barely hit the doorknob of my garage door.

I think the body is really painted aluminum foil!

These dents are really very small "dings" not like the basketball size described here, but I had no idea these new cars were so fragile . . . very disappointing. They just don't make anything as sturdy as they used to.

Doubt I'll try to get these fixed, but any thoughts on good places to go for that?

Can you pull it out with a suction cup? Maybe a small plumber's helper?
