Versa Fire

Hey Folks,

I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience with a Versa fire? Due to a short in the block heater, the engine bay caught fire, which then spread and took down my entire garage. Luckily, it was a detached garage, so no one was injured.

So, be wary of the block heater! I am now the proud owner of a 2009 Cube.

One vehicle does not start a recall. It could have been a lot of reasons for it to happen. Nissan Canada needs to be notified by the owner, dealership, or insurance company for them to take a look at the cause of the fire.

2+ years, no block heater problems . . . a one-off, perhaps.
