The Versa 1.8L engine requires nothing more than 87 octane regular fuel. Using any higher octane is simply a waste of money, as it might not even perform as well - not to mention fuel efficiency could drop with higher octanes as well.Tengai wrote:Try to use Super next time you gas up and see if any change, you may not want to go back to regular, my Versa has manual 6 Speed trasmition and it's flying;)
My wife and I were ready to buy the Matrix but decided to take an extended test drive of the Versa and Matrix back to back before signing the papers. The Matrix had lots going for it but it was underpowered, noisy and didn't corner as well. We continue to be happy with our decision. There's a new Matrix coming out this year. I'll take it for a spin to see if it addresses any of my issues.falcon381 wrote: Nissan did a great job on this one and the only car that I think can compete with it is the Toyota Matrix.
