Just wondering if its just me or if any other Versa SL owners have noticed that their driver side seat isin't positioned straight. In other words the front edge of the seat should be parallel to the dash if you were to open your driver side door and look into your car. I don't know if that made any sense or not...it might be an illusion b/cause I know that unlike other cars the dash isin't straight from side to side. If this made any sense to anybody drop me a line. Also if anybody has noticed a "howling" sound from the engine going over 55MPH I was wondering if I should have that looked into or if it's b/cause the car is still breaking in (it only has 3000 mile). Other than that LOVE the Versa hatchback!!

I think it just your imagination, the seat is straight(well, not sure about your car ). Try to use Super next time you gas up and see if any change, you may not want to go back to regular, my Versa has manual 6 Speed trasmition and it's flying;)

The Versa 1.8L engine requires nothing more than 87 octane regular fuel. Using any higher octane is simply a waste of money, as it might not even perform as well - not to mention fuel efficiency could drop with higher octanes as well.

A quick and easy solution would be to go back to your dealership and test drive a different versa. See if the seat is any different and how the engine sound compares to what you're hearing.

That said, I don't feel like my seat is at all crooked - and I generally can't hear the engine between 0-60 over the radio playing at level 8 or 9. above 60 there's a little noise, but nothing much. Hope that helps

I occasionally get the "crooked" feeling, but then again over the years I have come to realize that *I* sometimes sit in the seat crooked. I have no idea why I do it, or why I STILL do it. So check that your butt cheeks and shoulders ARE actually square.

I know this sounds pretty basic but have you tried running the seat all the way back to the end of it's travel then resetting it to your preferred setting.

I have had a seat actually be clicked into different settings on each side.

Yeah I'm thinking that it's probably just my imagination. I guess I'm just surprised that I didn't notice it when I test drove the car. Not that it's a bad car at all. Nissan did a great job on this one and the only car that I think can compete with it is the Toyota Matrix. But the Matrix is more expensive so the Versa was a no-brainer!

My wife and I were ready to buy the Matrix but decided to take an extended test drive of the Versa and Matrix back to back before signing the papers. The Matrix had lots going for it but it was underpowered, noisy and didn't corner as well. We continue to be happy with our decision. There's a new Matrix coming out this year. I'll take it for a spin to see if it addresses any of my issues.
