I hope not, I don't want to end up with those cheesy/cheapy K-sport coilvoers. Bouncy as hell, definitely you get what you pay for when it comes to K-sports.

k-sport is top of the line coilovers, mitsubishi eclipses, galants, evos use those and they all love them, that would be my next upgrade

why do you think k-sport is bad ??

The thing with a lot of people is that they tend to want to buy the cheapest things and expect to get the best performance out of them. Pay for the better product and that's what you'll get. Since Mitsubishi uses K-sport coilovers in those cars mentioned about, I wouldn't doubt their product is good so those who keep saying K-sport coils are crap, maybe you just need to spend a little more and you'll be satisfied with what you'll get.

I wanted to do a coilover install this summer but because of work I won't be doing much driving around in my car for the next few months I won't be doing that much driving so no more upgrades to my car for now.

K-sport coilovers are top of the line

When did they become top of the line?

Fortunately, my experiences with them came from riding in cars with them. And my s13 I sold earlier this year was bought with them already installed. s***ty coilovers...these coilovers are definitely "you get what you pay for". Will never ever buy Ksport coilovers/springs EVER!!!!!! I'm anti-Ksport. My s13 that was stolen 3 yrs ago had Eibach Sportline springs and KYB AGX's that handled way the hell better than those Ksport coilovers. I spent $600 on the spring & shock combo. You would think for $800+, you would have way better suspension. It was a downgrade instead of an upgrade. If you have ever driven a car hard with bouncy suspension, you'll know what I mean.

My brother owns a 98 GSX, he was going to go Ksport coilovers himself also because a lot of the Mitsubishi guys were giving a lot of good reviews until he drove my s13. He never turned back on that decision

Come back with your honest personal feedback when you get the Ksport coilovers and have driven hard with them.

ok maybe i never had k-sport and maybe i never rode in a car with them but i do have Megan Racing coilovers which is less quality than k-sport and yes i drive on them as hard as i can and im fully satisfied with them so cosidering that megan racing is not as high quality as k-sport that makes k-sport better

maybe the s13 that had them had blown shocks or worn springs, maybe they werent set right which made them bouncy

For the record, K-Sport, D2, Megan are probably all considered about equal and on the lowerend of the coilover spectrum.

Still some cheap(er) things are good. I've had D2s on one S13 for 4-5 years without a problem.

It's quite easy to tell when coilovers/struts/shocks are blown. Worn springs? They're cheap knock offs, but I don't think they're that cheap. The previous owner of the s13 bought it and installed the coilovers. Never drove it, it was non-op the whole time he owned it. And actually Megan Racing has better riding coilovers than Ksport. Ksport is on the bottom of the pyramid.

Lastly, it's very difficult to not set them right. I went from very soft to very hard. Soft in front to hard in rear. Hard in front to soft in rear. Tried medium settings with all sorts of combination. Raising the height actually helped some, but it just plain sucked and bounced too much.

Then again, everyone's experiences are different, try out the Ksport coilovers and let us know.
