Does anyone know what battery the Versa uses? Do they go by size? I want to put a Hawk or Optima or some type of aftermarket battery in that has the top and side terminals. I don't want to hack at the stock battery wiring so the side terminals would allow me to run amp power wire off it.

The small Optima will fit.... I use a Kinetik Audio Battery Model #600. They last quite a bit longer than optimas. I have been building demo and show cars for 10 years ( and used Optimas for 9 of those years), and I just got sick of Optimas going bad. Once they go below 11 volts they seem to not hold a charge and then go bad. The system in my versa has the abillity to draw up to 200 amps and I very rarely have light dim when the volume is up. Check out http://www.kinetikaudio.com .......

Thanks for the info and link. I have heard some bad things about Optima but have not experienced any problems yet. We use the yellow tops where I work but tehn again they are on a smart charger most of the time.

Although a better battery may be helpful, you probably would want to invest in a capacitor as well, depending on how much power you want to run in your car. The battery will only run very efficiently when your car's engine is off, otherwise you will be straining your alternator. This is, of course, only if your system will be high powered; for example, I have about 2000W going throughout my car right now, and whenever the sub hits, which is at about 1000W a hit, my lights dim and my idle drops a little bit. A capacitor would help in this situation because it would hold enough power for every 1000W hit from the sub, while going easy on the battery, thus going easy on the alternator.

I am currently using a Kenwood KAC-9152D (900w RMS) and it needs a 75 AMPs battery which is dividing 900w by 12v. do you think the Kinetik HC Power Cell model HC600 is enough for it? I was really shocked when I saw that they can hold 850 Amps!!! is it true ?! it means that it can run a 850 x 12 = 10200Watts amplifier!!!btw im using this formula >> Power(watts) = Volts(v) X Current(amps)

AND Another question, do you recommend buying from ebay? coz it costs about $100 on ebay while it costs $199.00 on stores
