Does anyone here have the Audio Package on their Versa? If so, do you like it? Would you consider upgrading it with aftermarket speakers? Was it worth the money to upgrade to it?

Can it be that no one here actually has the audio package? I'm kinda shocked.

We have ONE person here that I know of in the US that has the sunroof package, which requires the audio package.

Ask the Canadians who have the Tech package, the setup will be virtually identical except for satellite pre-wiring.

Alright I'll jump in. Here in Canada if you get the Tech Package it has Bluetooth and the upgraded audio system. That means you get a 6CD changer, 280 (I think) watts, 6 speakers including column mounted tweeters, plus an 8" subwoofer. It doesn't sound bad but it wont blow your socks off. The sub sounds a bit muddy and the system doesn't have the punch I would like. Having not listened to the standard audio that Nissan supplies I cant offer a comparison so I don't know if it is worth the money. I do know that I will probably upgrade the speakers sometime down the road. But for now with the right source (high bitrate mp3's) it sounds fine.

I'm supposed to get my Versa on the 13th and it will have the audio package. I didn't really plan on getting the audio package, but that was the only SL that I could find. On the bright side, I will be getting the sunroof, which I didn't think I'd be able to get. I didn't try out the standard radio on Versa I took for a test drive, so I won't have a very good point of comparison. But, I'll report back on my thoughts when my Versa finally arrives.

I have an SL with the audio package, which includes the Rockford Fosgate powered Subwoofer. The subwoofer definitely provides a significant improvement, which was the main reason I didn't mind getting it - plus the OEM subwoofer is conveniently tucked out of the way (which minimizes the impact on cargo carrying). I have not heard the standard speakers in an SL, so from that standpoint I don't have a comparison. The audio system/speakers in general sound alright, but the midrange does sound a little muddled to me - so I'd presume that a good set of speakers would improve the midrange and treble definition and clarity.

That being said, if one was planning to replace the regular speakers with better ones from the onset, then it would likely be better (overall less expensive and minimizing redundant costs) to just purchase an after-market subwoofer as well.
