Actually, seven months but over a half a year later since the original purchase.

The Versa has proved to be a, well...versatile little car. Big enough to haul around stuff from Lowes or just running errands. Consistently 30-34 mpg combined. Nimble, flickable, snappy quick, it has just been a great car.

The materials are top notch and all the standard and optional equipment one gets for just over 15 grand is tremendous. What a bargain. And fun to boot.

I have been very satisfied with most everything about the Versa. They have got a winner here and I think Nissan is going to sell a lot more this year as the word spreads about what a great value this car is.

One thing I'd like to mention as well. I've seen the Honda Fit. A nice car I'm sure but I think the Versa has it all over that car looks wise. Just my opinion. I also think you get a lot more for your money with the Versa.

I know a lot of the younger drivers on here are modding the car out a bit. It's interesting to hear what's been done to these cars so far.

Mine, hehe, I've spent $80 on some Versa floor mats. That's it. I just like the car the way it is. My signature got a little carried away I guess.

I also must say that this is an enthusiastic and passionate community. From the various tutorials, member pics, and information available, there is quite a bit one can glean off this site.

It's a nice diverse group of young and older, male and female, with varying levels of experience in modification and knowledge base.

Here's to many more miles on our Versi.

Nice write-up.

Like you, I don't "mod" much. I leave that to the younger people and those who like to tinker with stuff like that.

My "mods"?

1. A clear plastic cover for the front license plate to keep it looking clean and neat (front plate is required in California).

2. Reflective license plate frame in the back to add to the visibility of the car.

3. I bought a BumperBib to protect the top of the back bumper that didn't work correctly. I have the rubber to design a strip to protect the top of the bumper that I can attach with silicone. Or I might buy the one that is being designed to be marketed by Versaspeed depending on the price and appearance.

Last two things I'll put on the car are right now not in the budget but will be hopefully by Christmas.

1. The scangaugeII so I can maximize my mpg and actually see the coolant temp, etc. instead of waiting for the idiot lights to tell me the engine is already shot.

2. A trailer hitch (yes, they are available) so I can put a bicycle rack on the back.

I haven't had the car a month yet, but after 1,100+ miles our Versa SL with CVT is proving to be a good little day in, day out car for our family. 28.2 mpg running the a/c almost continually in the hot Southern California Inland Empire. Great value for the money.

I absolutley have t say I am really impressed with this car. I went from driving a 95 nissan sentra to driving a 2000 chevy S-10, and now to the Nissan Versa. I am really glad I bought this car.

I enjoy having the punchiness that the 6 speed offers, and although I have lightly modded the ca, it still gets pretty decent gas mileage. I went 427 miles on the last tank of gas, and I was not even to the low fuel light yet. Maybe I got lucky and had quite a few good tail winds or whatever, but I have to say I am really impressed with the newest addition to the Nissan family.

I can once again enjoy oing on long trips and have the ability to haul people around town. I have to say that I am a member of an auto enthusiast group here in TX and it is rather funny to see how many of us grumble when the cost of gas jumps up. I hate to say it but the days of the high powered muscle cars are numbered for use as a daily driver.

I still would like to eventually get a Spec-V but for now I have my 6 speed. The only thing I really want to add after the strut bar, lowering springs, exhaust and intake is the fog light kit and maybe a carbon fiber hood.

Way to Go Nissan!!! you have surpassed my expectations yet again.

I feel the same way after 11 months and 33,000 miles with mine. I love everything about it, and enough so that my daughter just bought one for herself. And while I, too, have not done much to mine, I do have the $5 NissanVersa.org window sticker. Looks good, white with the white car!

LOL at flux capacitor! Now that would be a hell of a mod!

Haven't done any modding to mine, but am considering the side window plastic shade thingies. (technical term there.)and the fog lights are peaking my interest.

I live in Deer Central and have pegged 4 in my years of driving. I was hoping to aim my headlights out to the side a little more to hopefully gain an extra second or two to avoid them. Anyone know if this can be done? or would the fog lights accomplish the same thing?

and I was feeling bad at putting 16500 on my car in a year. silly me.

I've had my V for 9 months now and I must admit that I absolutely love it. My gas mileage is gradually improving. I like the way it handles but am looking forward to when I need to replace the tires so I can put something better on. I wash it almost weekly and keep it nice and shiny. My only mods are tinted windows all around and window deflectors, and a shiny chrome license plate holder. I don't let anyone else drive it, cuz it's my baby. Now if only I could convince my wife that her Vibe should be parked outside and my V should get the garage....
