Hi all,

I have a Tiida with hand crank windows, which I'm guessing is the same as the hand cranks on the Versa 1.6 base sedan.

I tried taking the front door trim apart to replace the front speakers but don't know what to do about the hand crank, as I followed the instructions here - http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=227209 and I don't think the trim comes out without pulling the hand crank out. So, does anyone have any ideas as to how to get everything off so I can change the speakers?

Also, one of the screws (this one) --> is blocked by the door trim.. any ideas as to how to get at it?

Thanks heaps everyone!

I'm not sure about the Versa, but I have taken a few hand cranks off door panels before. Sometimes the plastic hand crank will pry apart and expose a screw. See the pic below.

The crank, if like other Nissan products in the last five years, should be held in by a "E" type clip that can be pushed out by pushing from the open side or pulled out by the closed side. Personal experience was with an 05' Frontier, and was a pain. Unfortunately this info is not available in the service manual and could be slightly different than described.
