I got my second clip from Venus today, and it looks pretty good. It's fairly clean, has 96,000 km, and there is no salt corrosion anywhere.

This is my second because the first one got flipped over by the shipping company (GI Trucking/Estes). So Venus had the old one picked up and sent me a new one. All in all, I am quite pleased with their customer service. Always someone nice and knowledgeable answering the phone. Plus, they shipped my clip the same day they received my check. My one complaint: they use very low quality, very large pallets, when a small, high quality pallet would be nearly as stable and much easier to move around, jack up, etc.

So here's to Venus and their $1500 clips. :ylsuper

I will reserve further judgement tho, until after I have installed and started it up.

PULL THE OIL PAN, I HAD A SPUN BEARING THEY TOOK CARE OF. BUT, ALWAYS CHECK FOR THE OBVIOUS AS YOU CAN BUY CORK BOARD OR JUST USE SEALANT TO SEAL THE VALVE COVER AND OIL PAN.

Yeah, I had a blown trans on my clip from them. I let them know about it and they sent me another trans and I split shipping with them. They are very good with customer service. It is always a good idea to look into failure prone parts when recieving a clip from anyone. That's interesting you got a cluster with your clip, as I didn't get a cluster with my clip. The higher mileage makes me think they get their clips from AU... but the mileage is still not bad.

THEY HAVE YARDS IN JAPAN... THEY GET WHATEVER THEY WANT ITS JUST THAT WE ARE COMPETING WITH AUSSIELAND AND THEY JUST HAVE AN EASIER TIME GETTING THIS STUFF. I GOT CLUSTER WITH MINE ALSO AND IT WORKS FINE. REQUEST ANOTHER ONE BUT MAKE A LIST OF EVERYTHING YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR YOU.
