Red tops are still good engines. They have about 10 hp less than a silver, but they are the same type of design.

the girdles are a different design and there are a few other important differences, not that I think it is a bad engine, but not as good as a r32 blacktop, IMO.

The R32 RB20DET was a silver/beige top, not a black top. The SR20DET engines came in black top.
