Friend got his RB20 from them, mixed results. Came with a fvcked up oil pan, but the rest of clip/engine was in good condition none the less. I'll see if I can't get him to chime in on this one.

Shipping seemed like way too much, but I'll wait for Blake to give his opinion on the whole thing.

I would be said friend and Blake, coincidentally. The price is right, but shipping seems a bit much, as mentioned. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that they charged me an extra $100 because I was having my clip shipped to a residential address. The fact that it was extra was not what bothered me, it was that the company that delivered it had no record of any request for a liftgate and I had to pay them, out of my own pocket, for a truck with liftgate. Not too big of a deal I guess, but I only had to pay $40 for it, not the $100 that Venus charged me. Odd. Another thing is the fact that they had no record of me buying anything from them once I contacted them about the few problems there were. Vickie was very nice and seemed genuine enough but she requested that I fax her a copy of the invoice and shipping statement, but I have no fax machine so that's been a problem so far.

Overall, the clip was complete, even with a useless driveshaft and an extra JDM tyte shift knob. The body panels were there, although pretty mangled but no brake assemblies, although it did come with 5 lug hubs & spindles. Turbo is in like-new condition and the engines are supposedly compression checked before shipment and they have 30-day startup warranty so yeah. I say go for it, espcecially if you can pick the clip up.

Venus is mixed from my experience. I had gone up to pick up some intake and intercooler hoses and I had a good experience with them. My other friend who was picking up his all-trac clip though had a bad experience with them. Went up to Sac to pick up the clip, but they sold it before we got there and they said they'd hold it for us. Difference though was in the people we talked to. I talked to the guy wearing overalls and an Asian guy. My other buddy talked to a white guy there. I think the Asian guy is like their supervisor or something since I happened to overhear those guys talking about passwords and how they'd need the Asian guys password to get to certain files. But I have heard that they do gouge on shipping.

If I were you, I'd stay away from them. Their customer service seems nice at first, but if you have a problem, you'll see that it's horribly inefficient and unprofessional. I ordered a motor at the beginning of June, with the promise I would get it the 2nd week of july. After several phone calls, long waits, emails, etc etc, I got it at the end of august...complete with dented oil pan, split transmission plate, no clutch, and several smashed connectors. It came tied to a pallet, sitting on the oil pan, wrapped in a cardboard box. They replaced the oil pan several weeks later , and sent me the wrong transmission plate. Later, when I went to install it, I noticed that it had a pilot converter instead of a pilot bushing...meaning it was an auto motor. I had to rent a $130 slide hammer to remove it. When I called to complain, Venus just said "we don't check that kind of thing" and hung up. Please note, the motor and transmission were separate when I received it, and they took the auto flywheel off, and put on a manual fly, so they had to have seen it. From the very first day I ordered, they promised me everything that comes out of a clip...specifically listing intercooler, intercooler piping, radiator, hoses, etc...and I verified that at least 2 more times. The day it was supposed to ship, they seemed surprised that I wanted all that. Ronald is an idiot, and Vickie will flat-out lie to you...everyone else who works there is even worse.

I had a mixed experience getting a VLSD from them.

The LSD was $200 with another $50 shipping. They said they'd give me axles for free if I paid an addl $25 for shipping, so I said, yeah go ahead and send the axles.

Diff arrived on time, but they forgot to put my whole address on the box with the axles in it. So it got stuck in UPS limbo for a couple weeks.

Its good thing I ordered the axles too cuz they were 5 bolt axles and diff.
