I was just about to send off a money order to venus and I was curious to hear of any horror stories that may have caused over the years.

Hybridone is running my old motor that I bought from them. The motors are good, but with any used motor... go through it thoroughly and check for shaft play in the turbo, dry-rotted lines, and broken connectors etc. My transmission was blown and they sent me another one for free + 1/2 shipping ($100 from CA to NC)... so I'd say it's a good deal. If it's a RB20 check to see what the number is on the turbo since the one on my was a non-ballbearing version which blew after a few thousand miles (he has my stock RB turbo off my new motor now).

They are nice guys and will work with you more or less. You get what you pay for though.... might cost less than others... but also might have more issues (not necessarily though).

they're not out to rip people off...they just sell whatever their branch over sea ships over. like any used motor, there are good and bad ones. i'm sure they'll replace broken parts.

They will replace pretty much anything you provide proof of being broke/missing--even beyond their 30 day waranty.

Venus Auto is 5 miles away from me. They are not out to screw anyone and will do their best to resolve problems.

Very good service IMO. Have yet to run the motor.. but they complied with everything I asked them to. Sent me pictures first, pulled it out of the clip, etc. Shipment came in three days. :)

BTW, they are hard to get in contact with and sometimes don't return emails/calls. But once you get into a transaction with them they pull through.. or so it seems.

I'm also about 10 miles from Venus auto. I intend to buy my R33 clip from there. My friend brandon who is on this forum got his SR20 from them and anything that has ever gone wrong (bad ignition module for example) they have replaced for free after the fact and waaay after the 30 day warranty or what not.

another satisfied customer here... Had a dented oil pan replaced no questions asked. Also had my stock sidemount months after buying the motor from them, since the sidemount had some cracks in it. I have not started my motor yet, so I cannot say anything on that, but any problem I had in the past, they were able to correct...

I got my rb20 from then and it's great.. when I called them to ask for clips they had one an was missing the radiator and cluster and they added those with the order. They definately know what you need to get your project runing.. They also did a compresion check and checked the turbo for shaft play...I cant complaint. Have some else lined up for another clip.

I just recieved my s13 front end conversion and vlsd from them. They treated me well. The only problems I had with them is communicating with ronald because he has an asian accent. I just ask for vicky. I also had to wait to recieve pictures of what I was buying. I think that is because of thier computers being dumb.

How much did all of you guys pay for shipping on your front clip? I'm in Utah and I want to get a RB20 front clip and long block but I havent recieve a reply back about how much shipping will cost yet.

I know they can work you a good deal if you pick it up at the shipping dock. Im sure there is one in salt lake city, ogden, provo, and most the other major cities down there. It should be between 300-500. Its also cheaper if you ship to a buisness.

also, it is considerably cheaper if they ship a motor set vs the entire clip.
