Hey,I was wondering if you bought a vented hood, if it rains and water touches your motor, would that be bad? Could it damage anything?

Thanks

well if you have avented hood and you are washing your car, you might want to make a simple "dam" to block a bunch of water pouring into it.normal rain shouldnt be a problem.

I'd worry just as much about dust as water.

for most of you guys, a vented hood looks great and will have no problems with water. When you wash the car just put a folded towel inside the vent.

On a car like mine, the vent sits right above the distributor which is already prone to watery death... Not a good thing.

get a hood designed right and it wont be a problem, idealy the vent pulls air from the radiator up and over the car, heloping the radiator be more efficient and reducing "heat soak" on the engine.-chet
