vent under rear bumper?
can someone enlighten me on what the vent looking thing is below the rear bumper? Does it serve a purpose or is it just cosmetic?

US does not require to have a fog light at the back. The other countries require fog light. That's why you see a vent in there. Take a look at the 2014 370Z there's brake light in the middle. So in Europe this space was used for the light:

I read somewhere that the vent was something to do with fuel efficency by reducing drag.
