I'm using one on my RB20DET ... I like the way the car is running without the MAF ... I want to upgrade the chip for larger injectors and larger t3/t4 ... right now I have chip that removes limiters, but uses stock exhaust/injectors ... the car feels more aggressive ...

You have to tell HKS that ... I didn't ask for it ... It was removed when I bought the unit ... I'm just telling him what was on my chip.

like $1000.00 brand new. Back in the day though it was the only game in town so you didn't really have an alternative. Nowadays for a little more you could get a PFC Djetro for more control so I wouldn't drop more than $500 on one used in perfect condition.

I bought mine for $350 ... There are other things on the market that are a lot more flexible for close to $500 ... like the PHR MAP-ECU and the New Greddy E- Manage ... Both can be manipulated from a laptop. Maybe an Older F-con V, but those units are expensive to get programmed.

i have a phr map-ecu. it is awesome, the only problem is you better have a great tuner and dyno. this is because phr doesn't have a map for the rb's yet. this equals lots of dyno time.

one of my supra friends has one on his car and he swears by it, but from what it looks like it appears to still be a maf interceptor and still mucks with the maf signal.hell for the price of the phr map ecu go buy an emanage ultimate and have all the features and more.

I would have to concur, the Emanage does the same thing as the VPC but also lets you tweak the ignition and run two subs with full user programmability. Unless you get a sweet deal on a used VPC the Emanage is a better buy.
