Added a couple of new pics with wheels on car. Need some new headlights. Also took it for a spin around lansing and the msu campus. Took it into a deserted parking ramp ala 'The Transporter'. Love the exhaust note inside there. Feels hella good to drive the 240 again after driving my CRX for the last couple months. Car actually gets a few looks even in it's half complete state. Can't wait to get a driveshaft to complete the manual conversion. Pics to follow:

And yes indeed I painted it; I've been educating myself about it for awhile and piecing together everything I needed. Spent quite a bit of time on the autobody101 forums. A very useful resource. I practiced a few times on the fenders that I took off and decided I was ready to give it a shot. It turned out alright, probably about as well as could be expected for my first time, and plenty good for a daily driver. Looks good from a few feet away. Looks OK from up close really, but there are a few imperfections. I'll have to paint some side skirts soon, then I've got a '66 Mustang to paint after that. This was a project born of necessity, and a good learning experience. I feel pretty good about it now, and feel that I can lay down a pretty good looking paintjob. I'd like to get near show quality for the Mustang. Now to do something about all the little chips and door dings...

...and I always wonder when I look at your pics. Is yours a different color of blue than mine. I think it is, but then I'm not sure. Mine is Emerald Blue, which is really more green/blue. Yours looks closer to actual blue? Not that it really matters, but I'm a little curious. And your wheels, are they 17's? I like the look of your car, very clean and professional looking. Do you have some driving/accessory lights in the square holes in the front? I'm looking for a decent set to put up there. And obviously I need side markers.
I'm happy now. After sheering off the tool for the locking lugs, and being unable to find a replacement locally; I've found a way to get them off my bro's car. I took a 6 point torx type tool and ground off every other point. The three remaining fit perfectly into the old lugs, and they came off easy as pie. So now I've got some new sets of tuner lugz and a couple spare tools so it won't happen again. I'll have my wheels on and be able to drive it tomorrow.

The color is Emerald Blue just like yours but I seem to find that my paint looks more rich than other Emrald Blues Ive seen on 240s. Its more Dark green/ bluish and purple under sunlight. People often ask me if I got a custom paintjob because it changes colors.
I am actually using the stock blinkers on that bumper. You can sort of see it in the picture. The bodyshop actually had to make a hole to make it fit but it's there and been holding on for over 2 years now.
The wheels are 17" and I think flow pretty well with the bodykit..

So, it is the same. You lose most of the color change aspect in the pics, so it's hard to tell.
Yah, if someone were to look at my aesthetic mods, they'd think I was trying to copy you. I'll probably have different side skirts when it's all said and done. Plus my wheels are the black spokes withe the polished lip, and I'm wingless, so my car should look plenty different. If not, I'll drop a ironing board sized wing on the back and that should do the trick. Don't wanna cramp your style.
I was thinking of putting some fog lights/halogens in the little ~2 or 3" square holes in the bumper. That's the holes I was inquiring about.
Have you seen the green and white t-shirt before that say's "Wolverine tastes like chicken."?? I want one.

Lol 574, is that a knock on my car? That's the prevailing opinion on the Veilside type front. As stated on my other thread, I kind of prefer the r33 type front in retrospect. But I got this one as a BST deal thru NICO, far cheaper than buying retail. So Veilside it is. I don't know, I thought the fender and front was the hardest part. Gotta patch a little spot on the rocker, do some final fitment and apply a sideskirt. Doesn't look to hard from here on out IMO. I don't drive multi-colored vehicles (not a knock on anyone who does); I drove it home and around the block once with the unpainted Invader.
You're probably right though, I've alot to do, cause when I'm done with the exterior, I want to do alot more to the engine/drivetrain.
