Vehicle shakes if engine turned off with 4WD engaged

It feels as if something suddenly engages in the front differential as the engine is turned off. This does not happen when in RWD mode. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had the same experience, but not every time. When it happened, I could hear some "engaging" sound.

It is more of a forward jerk than a shake. Somehow the front differential receives or relieves power as the engine is turned off.

When you have the truck in auto or lock it will have a little jerk forward when you shut the truck off. Its normal. Not sure the reason why it does this, but its been discussed on the forum before. Nothing to worry about.
