vdc+slip lights both on. thought was broken actually happy with the G.

the following NEVER happend this is just a situation to as a "what if" however past tense will be used, just to offset the mood for a pointless debate on street racing or in simple terms you can always click the tiny "x" on the top corner of the screen before proceeding.

now that i got that out of the way. let me set the scene this weekend about 20 degrees, before going out to h ters i was in my G and my boy in a 81 rabbit 3 speed manual diesel and a Evo pulls up next to me. never raced a Evo before. his whole car was shaking from the exhaust it sounded so hot. all i know had exhaust bov and gauge clusetrs, without even looking at him VDC off light turns green and i take off just to redline first. he didnt go.

the next light was like 2000 ft apart. pulled up to there he got in back of me. i was like ok he doesnt want to go w.e light turns green i pull off slowly i hear him spool and gets in the side lane i floor it he passed me where i was on his bumper for 1st. and 2nd i was even at his back door.-----right before i was about to hit 3rd at about 102mph a HUGE THUMP came from under the car. i had no idea what that was but i let off at about 120 thumbs up the the evo driver and pulled to the side of the road.

then both slip and vdc lights went on and stayed on. i pressed vdc button and it didnt change held it down still nothing. i was like turned the car off and then on still the same thing. so i pulled away slowly and the car drove like it was a 81 rabbit. then picked up speed slowly so i drove it for about a mile and then went to h ters.

few hours later started the car up the both lights were still on. turned it off and finally the lights disapeared.

so i drove by the same place where i went with the Evo to see if i hit anything i saw the exact spot where i was about to shift 3rd there was a huge patch of black ice on the road i was like whoa my car didnt even kick out back end or front steering or anything. i was thinking that thats what it mustve been that set off those lights.

in other words what happened was there was soo much slippage in the tires that the computer automatically overroad the vdc off and protected the car and me from slipping. that is amazing.

i am so amazing with the car with this. thought it was broken but its not.

now all this was just an "for instance" but has this ever happened to anyone where the lights were on. and you can share comments opinions w.e. as long as its not about.. well read the first paragraph for reassurance.

It happened to me before. Actually several times. Usually if you turn off the engine for a minute or so it clears it. It happened to me once when I tried to do some donuts on the ice and forgot to turn of the VDC. DUH.

The joy of G-35 is hidden--skin deep. That is what i like about the car myself. In a 2007 G-35 Coupe, the manual says not to go beyond 90 miles and hour in third gear. What year and model is your G-35? The G-35 can take punishment better than any car I have ever driven--extremely sturdy car! My car is slowly weaaring me out, when it should be the other way around. I never thought I would say this! I really love the way the car drives. Well done!
