In the time it took you to do this, you could have provided a useful answer.suby01 wrote:hi.

You may be on to something, but I think there's more to it. MAF fail safe usually includes max rpm limitation, retarded timing and rich AFR. The VDC, ABS, and SLIP lights indicate an ABS/VDC failure.telcoman wrote:

Welcome to NICO
Check the electrical connector on the MAF. If it looks like it is connected, remove it and reinsert it securely.
I forgot to reconnect it after changing my air filter and the light came on.It will eventually go out by itself within 200 miles. The last time my light came on my gas cap was not on tight. After tightening it I started & restarted my G 5 times within a short time and the light went out.
If everything checkes out the ECU will in many cases eventually turn off a warning light.

I disagree. I work on this car myself.Jacko3 wrote:. Next time avoid doing too many things on this car yourself---it is a temperamental car that requires a certain type of temparament to work on.

I love working on my car. I hate letting others touch it now.Jacko3 wrote:I beleive a loose connector is the problem here. Find the connector and your problem is over. Next time avoid doing too many things on this car yourself---it is a temperamental car that requires a certain type of temparament to work on. Honestly, I don't have that temperament, and so I let my Tech do all the work. He has never done work twice on my car--always done right the first time. All i do is check for oil level---thats it! I cannot bear to know that I am the cause of an array of electronic madness on the car. There are to many sensors on the car. The car can even detect a person's breath with all those sensors (just kidding).
Thats what I used to think...til I got my hands dirty. Then its all you.Jacko3 wrote:I guess you have the right temperament. I am still searching for the ight attitude to work on cars---I haven't found it and i don't wanna screw up anything on my cars.
