The VDC, SLIP, and Brake lights all just began lighting up in my car. I have, of course, checked that the brake isn't set, and have tried the VDC button with nothing changing. Is my traction control gone, or might it be an electrical problem? Any insite would be helpful!

This generally means that you have a VDC system malfunction that has to get checked out by the dealer.

what year is your car?

Another member had a similar issue...i dont remember the thread though.

It could be several things according to the techs we have on here. VDC could be a problem.

When is the problem occuring? How often? Common circumstances when it happens?

Could be a few things. Like brake wear. Check your brake fluid to make sure there is enough. If not maybe because your brakes are worn.

+1 For brake wear.

If low brake fluid is detected it will put the ABS into failsafe.

Did you figure out what the problem was? This happened to me last week once or twice when it was cold outside. I would start the car and everything would be fine and about 5 minutes into my trip, the VDC and slip light would come on. I could turn the car off and back on and it would be fine the rest of the way.

Well this morning all three came on and stayed on, so was wondering if you figured out if it was a malfunction or a brake fluid/level problem.

Is the VDC considered part of the drivetrain and therefore covered under the drivetrain warranty?

Most likely your brake and your brake fluid.

When you start pumping brake fluid, the lewel drops and the alarm comes on. You are low on brake fluids and most likely due to the brake wear. That's my guess.
