VDC Off, SLIP & SES Light Stays On

ok i recently purchased a '03 coupe 6mt and noticed that the "SLIP" light "VDC off" & "Service Engine Soon" light stays on and won't cut off, the car drives normally without any strange noises or vibrations but takes about 5 seconds to start up (the key has to be held in the start position for about 5 secs. before it starts.... it just keeps rolling over but doesn't start right away as to say after 1 or 2 cranks i.e. "rup pup vroom" if that helps to illustrate what i meant )so I'm just thinking the car just needs to be serviced to cancel out the SES light & the starting issue but as for the VDC off & Slip i'm stumped andy ideas????

Does it idle high? How many miles on the car? These cars should start up immediately. Could be a fuel pump issue...

As for the SES and other lights it could be anything...try and do the ECU reset and see if they go away. If not, I'd take it in to pull the codes.

fromm a cold start it idles at about 1200-1500 rpm but it levels off at 600-700 rpms

Has anything been done to your air intake system? I ask this because my stock rubber piece "after the MAF" recently tore and I used a short coupling from Pep Boys. When I tried to start the car it barely turned over and all of my warning lights were on. I then extended the tube so it was to about the stock length after the MAF and the lights went away and it runs fine again. Good luck!
