So this AM on the way to work, all seemed fine and then 5 mins before my parking lot the 'VDC Off' 'Slip' and 'Brake' light all came on. I know there is a section in the manual about this but haven't been able to check this yet as I am now at work.

The catch on this is I am wondering if it is related to the oil change I got this last weekend. I got the oil done and all seemed fine until I drove it and all the warning lights (including the Service Engine Light) were on and it was shimmying at speeds of 30mph+. I went back and saw they had left one sensor unhooked and they fixed it in no time and reset the car's PC to get the service light off. I have driven some since then and all was fine until now this AM and the 3 lights came on.

Any ideas on things to check? I am worried and hoping this isnt severe as I just bought it and don't want to have to put it in the shop-unless it needs to be done of course! It is a 2005 G35x.

THANKS to all!

I would try to reset the ECU first, then if it happens again, take it to a dealer.

Same thang happen to me when I was street racing and was in 3rd gear and meant to shift into 4th and accidentally shift into 2nd and redlined the 2nd out. And all the lights came on. What I did was take it to a friend shop and he check whats was wrong and just reset the ecu and he told me if the check engine light comes back on within 1-2 wks then it means it need to be diagose if not then your OK! N the slip and vcd can be reset if you diconnect the battery. Hope that helps

**EDIT-so on my drive home the 'brakes' light turned off and then once I got home and turned the engine off and on again the VDC and Slip light turned off. I know I've read some on this but any idea what this means for sure? Thanks!

Thanks for the help so far.

The Check Englie Light hasn't re-appeared so knock on wood that remains true. I will get it home here shortly and check the different things.

It is strange it happened right after the oil change and they did have the issue with not connecting the sensor so I hope it is something simple. But truth is, the breaks are louder than heck at near final stopping speeds so I am wondering if it is saying it is time to do them? Hoping it wasn't so soon but if it is time I guess it is time.

Thanks for the help and if anyone else has any comments/advice, send em on over!

I had the exactly same problem that u have right now.actually, i just fixed the problem today.the reason why all the lights went on is because u have the wrong sizing for the tires.do u have stock rims and setup?i have the 19inch225/40/19245/40/19 when i used these for the rear(255/45/19), my thing turned on right after i put the wrong sizing tire.Since the VDC control thinks i am slipping so the stupid computer decided to stop working and let me deal with it by dis function the VDC, so the lights turn on. Yes, all of them, slip, brake, and the VDC offbut i finally finished running the tires until one of them poped two days ago.and now, this problem is gone after i put on the stock size.so go change the tires if this bothers u.hope this helps, let me know if i am right^^

Thanks for this but it is the stock stuff still. I topped off the brake fluid and the lights haven't been back on (knock on wood...).

I do think it is time to do the brakes though really and this may be the cause if it happens anymore.

Thanks for the suggestion however!

Same problem, different answer....one day the lights just popped on. Clearing the ECU didn't work, checked all the fluid levels & nothing worked. Took it to the dealer & they said I must have hit a pot hole or really rough road or something cause the the plug wasn't making good contact anymore. $200 for them to plug wires in completely.

what sensor was left unhooked? and how does that relate to an oil change? This whole thread seams strange...a bunch of nameless sensors unhooked, or not making contact? Thanks god i can work on my own car, and dont rely on shady dealership/oil change shop mechanics...lol

It is most likely your brake. You'll need more fluid because the pads are worn. Time for the brake upgrade.

Anything in mind?

Brembo?

I have a similar issue but I cant get the car in drive to take it to the dealer. Middle lamp was out so i tried to test the connections and now non of them work. Usually you can hear the click in the center console but now I hear nothing.

Sorry guys...all I can offer is mine was brakes. It was definitely time for them after I got in there and saw them. Did front and back and had no problems since...(fingers, crosed, knocking on wood, all that jazz).

#1) check all fuses#2) check all fluids#3) check battery

if brakes are dead then it will need more fluid and will turn brake light based on more fluid out of the master cylinder.

I've had battery issues turn lights on before, and fuses.

Times like these are a good chance to make sure you are following up with the maintenance of your vehicle.

Mine was a blown fuse, and a blown backup fuse. Couldnt even drive to the store to buy a fuse since the brake lights wouldnt go on, it wouldnt let me drive.
